 Last years World Champion USA took bronze medals in Kuopio. USA won Czech Republic by playing good third period in the offencive end and whole game in the defence.. The result of the bronze medal match was 6-0 (0-0, 0-0, 4-0, 2-0). First two periods were scoreless which is very rear at inline hockey. Both temas seemed to be a litlle tired after hard semifinal games only a day before.
In the third period USA skated much more than in the beginning of the game and that was enough for Czech.
At 1.58 of the third period Brad Parsons made the first goal after a terrible mistake of Czech defence.
2-0 game only less than a minute later when fast skater Chris Popescu made his 10th goal of the turnament. At the latest Jason Deskin´s 3-0 was the final goal to USA`s win. Derek Kern made the fourth goal still in the third period. The fourth period didn´t change anything and USA took easily the bronze medals. |
